Spring came in hot, and we matched it stride for stride. September was about growth in every sense; hundreds of new trees on the move, trusted clients welcoming us back, and the crew taking on challenges both on and off the job.

Here’s what went down:

Potted trees on sandy soil under tall trees in a park. Green and earthy tones dominate the setting, with a cloudy sky above.

301 Trees for Hermanus Golf Club

This one’s a milestone. Early September we delivered 301 trees to Hermanus Golf Club.

Right now, they’re acclimating to the local climate before planting kicks off next month.

It’s more than just a delivery, it’s the start of a legacy planting project that will shape the course for decades.

We’ll be sharing updates on Instagram and Facebook as the trees find their places, so stay tuned.

Back at Swartrivier Farm

We headed back to the beautiful Swartrivier farm to continue work on the gums. These trees are impressive, but without careful maintenance, they can become a hazard.

Our crew focused on securing them properly, making sure safety and longevity go hand in hand.

Workers trim trees in a park, one on a ladder, another climbing. Overcast sky, green grass, wrapped tree bases, maintaining focus.

A Day at TreesSA Nursery

Not all our work happens in the ground.

We had the privilege of pruning trees at TreesSA while they were still in their bags, waiting for their forever homes.

Good structure starts early, and this kind of work makes sure they’ll thrive when they’re finally planted out.

🌸 Spring Care Tips: Start Strong

Spring growth can be a blessing or a headache, depending on how you manage it.

A few things we remind clients this season:

  • Keep cuts light. Avoid drastic pruning; light formative work now prevents heavy corrective work later.

  • Check for stress. Storms and winter damp can leave hidden damage; now’s the time to catch it.

  • Deep watering beats frequent sprinkles. Especially for young trees finding their feet.

Small steps in spring = healthier trees all summer.

Crew Spirit: Heritage Day & Voet van Afrika

Tree care is demanding, but our team knows how to balance hard work with living fully.

September brought two highlights off the field: celebrating Heritage Day together, and cheering on team members who took part in the Voet van Afrika.

The same grit they show on-site (and in office), they carried into those runs.

Something Brewing…

We’ve been quietly working with Vadersberg on something special.

If you’re into scenic escapes and weekends away, keep an eye on our socials.

That’s all we’re saying for now.

Closing the Month, Opening the Season

September set the tone for spring: legacy projects, trusted partnerships, and a reminder that trees need care at every stage; from bagged saplings to century-old gums.

It’s the kind of work that keeps us grounded and inspired.

That’s a wrap on September. 301 trees delivered, gums secured, nursery work done, and plenty of spring energy flowing through the team.

We’ve got big things brewing, both on the ground and behind the scenes, and if this month is anything to go by, the season ahead is going to be a wild one.

Take a moment to check on your own trees, enjoy the longer evenings, and keep an eye out for what’s next.

See you on the flip side. ✌🏻🌳
