Some years arrive gently. Some years build slowly. 2025 wasn’t loud, but it was full; of growth, of hard work, of moments that reminded us why tree care matters.
Looking back now, it feels like a year made of steady hands, early mornings, good people, and trees that asked us to show up with patience and respect.
Here’s what shaped us.

The big milestones
We became a fully equipped, self-sufficient operation
This was the year we invested properly in our future, not just to grow, but to serve clients better, faster, and safer.
A new trailer
Purpose-built. Clean. Organised. Room for everything that matters. It changed our mornings. It changed our workflow. It made us sharper.
A stump grinder
A game changer for clients who wanted full peace of mind. No more living with old stumps or half-finished jobs. We could now finish the whole story, from canopy to clean soil.
A chipper
Probably the biggest shift in how we operate. Suddenly, biomass wasn’t a burden. It was clean and efficient. It shortened job times. It reduced the mess. It allowed us to leave properties lighter than ever before.
These weren’t just purchases. They were commitments to excellence, to speed, to professionalism, to being the arborist team the Overberg can rely on.

The team moments that made us who we are
Crews don't bond over easy days. They bond over the ones that test your breath.
This year was full of those moments:
The Voet van Afrika and Die Vlakte race: Watching the crew push through showed exactly who we are: disciplined, determined, capable of more than they think.
The early mornings, headlights on, sharpening chains, steam rising from coffee cups.
The late pack-ups, golden light on clean sites, everyone tired but content.
The laughter that carried through the hard days (there were MANY).
The small acts of teamwork no client ever sees, a steadying hand on a rope, an extra eye on a cut, the calm tap on the shoulder that says “I’ve got you.”
Those moments don’t show up in invoices. But they show up in the quality of our work.
The trust we earned
Clients let us into their spaces, gardens filled with memories, homes built with effort, and landscapes shaped with care.
This year, we were trusted with:
Trees planted by parents and grandparents.
Sites preparing for building or renovation.
Estates wanting long-term safety plans.
Families needing dangerous trees taken down safely.
People who simply wanted their homes to feel lighter, safer, and more beautiful.
That trust is something we don’t take lightly. It’s the reason we show up early. It’s the reason we clean until there's nothing left to clean. It’s the reason we plan each cut like it matters, because it does.

A year of becoming better
We grew, not just in equipment or scale, but in character.
2025 made us:
More professional.
More organised.
More capable.
More confident in our craft.
More connected as a team.
More aware of the responsibility we carry every time we step onto a property.
We walked into the year as a strong business. We’re walking out as a better one.
Looking toward 2026
We carry forward everything this year gave us:
A crew that knows its worth.
Equipment that lets us serve clients faster and more completely.
Systems that make us safer and more efficient.
Relationships built on trust, respect, and careful work.
And something else too, a deep sense of gratitude.
For every tree. Every job. Every conversation at a gate. Every client who believed in us enough to call.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Here’s to another year of responsible, thoughtful, beautiful tree care. We’ll meet you under the branches. 🌿
