January at Overberg Arborists = New year. Fresh boots. Big energy.

If January set the tone for 2026… then we’re in for a seriously good year.

The team came back from the break rested, motivated and straight back into action; chainsaws sharp, ropes ready, coffee strong. From day one, it felt like go time.

Phones ringing. Quotes flying. Crews out in the field before the sun’s properly up.

And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

There’s something special about kicking off the year helping people protect the trees they love and making properties feel safer, lighter and more alive again.

That’s exactly what January looked like for us.

🌳 Where we’ve been working

The crew has already been all over the map: Hermanus, Wolseley, Stellenbosch, Bredasdorp, Cape Town side, and everywhere in between.

A mix of:

• Large technical removals near homes and boundary walls

• Careful reductions and shaping before late-summer winds

• Tree health assessments and rescue missions

• And plenty of “please save this tree” calls (our favourite kind)

From tight-access gardens to big open properties and estates, every site brought something different. That’s what keeps it fun.

No two days look the same… and the crew thrives on that challenge.

Behind the scenes (the stuff you don’t always see)

While the team was out climbing and cutting, there’s been a lot happening behind the scenes too.

We’ve been refining our systems, tightening up our schedules, improving turnaround times and making the whole client journey smoother.

More planning. Better communication. Cleaner processes. Because great tree work shouldn’t feel complicated.

We've been big on this: do things properly, do things professionally, and make it easy for everyone. Simple, solid, stress-free. That’s the standard we’re chasing this year.

🌿 What we’re focusing on in 2026

This year is all about:

Stronger trees.

Safer properties.

Smarter care.

Deeper community roots.

And a few fun surprises too 😉

We don’t just want to do the work, we want to help you understand your trees better so you can make confident decisions long-term.

Because informed clients = healthier properties.

Summer Tree Care Tips

Late summer in the Overberg can be tough on trees, so here’s what we recommend this month:

• Deep watering less often (not light daily sprinkles)

• Check for heat stress and early die-back

• Light pruning only, avoid heavy cuts in peak heat

• Mulch around root zones to retain moisture

• Keep an eye out for pests and fungal issues

Book preventative maintenance before the storms come and the winds get too hectic

Small steps now = fewer big problems later.

💚 A thank you

Whether you’ve worked with us for years or just sent your first enquiry this month, thank you.

Every project, every message, every recommendation to a friend… it all means the world to our team.

We don’t take that trust lightly.

Here’s to a big, green, thriving 2026 🌳See you out there.
